About Mangal Dosha
Mangal Dosha, also known as Manglik Dosh, Kuja Dosha (కుజ దోషం in Telugu), Bhauma Dosha, or Chevvai/Sevvai Dosham, is one of the most powerful doshas in Vedic Astrology. In India, this dosha is a crucial factor in marriage compatibility.
Mangal Dosha occurs when planet Mars is positioned in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th, or 12th house in a person’s natal chart or Kundli. A person with this placement is called a Manglik. Both men and women can have Manglik Dosha.
The intensity of Manglik Dosha varies depending on the house/sign Mars is placed in, and the aspects it receives from other planets in the chart. Mangal Dosha is usually assessed using the Lagna chart, Moon chart, and Venus chart. All these charts are carefully analyzed before confirming if someone is Manglik.
